North
Louisiana has many opportunities to re-visit isolated locations where gas had
been previously discovered but not produced because of the lack of a market in
the past. Many of these situations offer extraordinarily attractive risk /
benefit ratios. Within its commercial market zone, during the past year
Shamrock Drilling Inc. has been developing several of these opportunities to
advantage, by re-entering, completing, and selling the natural gas produced
directly to nearby local municipalities, such as Harrisonburg, Louisiana.
At
Harrisonburg, Louisiana, the Lottie K. Gibson #1 well was re-entered and put on
service to the town in November, 2000. The well performed very well, demand was
there and the town requested that a second well be added to service the
southern part of the community. In October 2001, the Carpenter #1 was added to
the system servicing the southern part of Harrisonburg's needs.
There
are additional projects in the area that will be added as demand warrants.
